I'm excited to dive into the world of smart home automation with the beer lift. The beauty of this setup is that you can integrate it without needing extensive knowledge or programming experience. Here's an overview: - Alexa, Google Home, and Siri (HomeKit) are compatible - Control from your smartphone (also via widget) - Integrate an external switch (SW1 & SW2 inputs on Shelly) - Direct operation with 24VDC power - Alternative firmware options like Tasmota For Apple users, check out this HomeKit guide: https://smartapfel.de/shelly-homekit-ota-installieren/ You'll need: - 24VDC Car Relay: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MF5XJP9/ - Shelly 2.5: https://www.amazon.com/Shelly-Dual-WLAN-Schalter-Messfunktion/dp/B07Q9M2Y1S - LED Stripe 24V: Available on eBay for around $10 Important note: When operating the Shelly 2.5 with 24VDC, the plus sign is on "N" and the minus sign is on "L". This is not a mistake in the wiring diagram! To complete the setup, enable the "Roller Shutter" mode in the app settings. Once you've finished, test the motor's direction and end switches in the extended position to ensure everything works as expected (the motor should turn off when activated). I've also created a custom holder for the Shelly 2.5 specifically designed for the beer lift. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out!
