To convert a Sunrace 7 Speed Down Tube Index shifter to Friction Only you remove the ball bearings from the shifter body. An extra washer is needed under the shifter for the device to maintain enough friction to keep from slipping during use. This washer fits the Shifter body to give enough friction to keep it in place.
