Bicycle spoke nipple shuffler - wheel building tool
thingiverse
Inspired by the beautiful wooden version available at Wheel Fanatyk, a website that deserves a visit if you build wheels - check out Ric's fantastic blog there. This handy tool is a must-have for anyone assembling a bicycle wheel. Simply drop the nipples into the shuffler, shake it well, and they'll fall neatly into place with their heads pointing up. From there, use a tapered metal point to pick up each spoke nipple and attach it to its corresponding spoke while building the wheel. To see this in action, watch the demonstration on YouTube. I highly recommend checking out Wheel Fanatyk for more great products and information - no affiliation here, just a huge fan of their stuff! Update: A base has been added to the design, which can be very useful if you oil your spoke nipples before assembly. Alternatively, the small reservoir on the side can hold oil, allowing you to dip each nipple after picking it up from the shuffler. The base is not necessary for normal use. Printer Settings: * Printer: Monoprice Maker Ultimate * Rafts: None * Supports: None * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 50% * Notes: Printing with three shells makes it almost solid, far more than needed.
