Bicycle rear rack dropout adapter

Bicycle rear rack dropout adapter

To mount a rear rack on my bamboo bicycle, which lacks eyelets and isn't suitable for p-clamps, I consulted the local shop. They suggested using a special nut designed for attaching derailleurs to old horizontal dropouts. However, this caused the rack to be too close to the rear wheel, preventing a fender from being added. To overcome this, I found adapters that attach to the rack and provide a bolt hole for dropout mounting. These seem sturdy enough for my current light load and moderate temperature use, but they're only a temporary solution. I plan on refining the design and eventually having a steel version, likely thinner than the current one, fabricated. The nut is meant for a Bontrager Backrack Lightweight, while the frame has Bamboo Bicycle Studio dropouts. (Remember to add images of the used nut and a photo of the rack mounted.)
