Bicycle Pannier Hook with Snap Lock Mechanism
thingiverse
Dedicated to the rest of us in the UK who couldn't give a hoot about the bloody wedding... A pannier hook for bicycles, designed to hold tubes up to 12mm in diameter! The width of the hook is just 14mm, making it narrow enough for most needs. It has a great snap-locking mechanism that keeps the hook securely in place, but releases quickly with an upward lift, similar to commercial designs. To attach this hook, you'll need a M3 screw and nut. I use a bolt head with a 14mm thread length and a nylon lock nut for added security. For optimal printing, use 100% infill and two wall lines. **Testing the Design's Robustness:** I simulated the design in Fusion 360 using ABS material properties to withstand a load of 100N (1,000,000,000 lb) and a pull force of 10N.
