Bicycle Motor Works Battery Mount
prusaprinters
UPDATE: Currently, I have been using my battery mount but realized much room for improvement. I will be creating a REMIX (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6048851) of my design and uploading it there as to not get any files mixed up. This update should be easier to print requiring little to no supports. However, I have included heat set inserts to the model to avoid zip ties so you may need to purchase some additional hardware. As of now, I am working on my 3D printer so this design is strictly that, a design. It is untested but I plan on fixing my printer and getting it printed off within the next month. Once printed I'll compile a simple BOM if you wish to print it also. I have included the .STEP file if you wish to tweak anything. Hi all, I needed a battery mount for an ebike conversion I was doing. There are paid options but you lose some of the ability to fine tune the fit to your setup. I put a CYC Gen 2 Pro on a 2016ish Specialized Diverge. I'm using a Bicycle Motor Works Battery (https://bicyclemotorworks.com/) for this and my mount is spec'd for the 15Ah 72v flavor. I included the .step file if you need to edit anything. BTW I do this for fun so my CAD skills are very much a work in progress. I very much hope this mount is helpful and useful to others out there just trying to build and learn. Currently, my project is at that 95% done stage where everything functions as intended. However, I need to finish cleaning up some wires and mounting. I bought some black metal zip ties(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TKB27NF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and some exhaust heat wrap for the wires (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KVYH66U?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) Print Settings Printer Brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: I used adaptive layer with a .2 layer height parameter Infill: 50% Filament: Amazon Basics PETG Notes: I didn't use a raft, but a brim to increase surface area adhesion to the build plate. Also I did use some supports but its important you use "touching build plate" or something similar since the zip ties need to pass through the holes. Category: 3D Printing
