Bicycle Generator
thingiverse
The bicycle mount for the generator (thing:28762) is available from my GitHub account at http://www.github.com/haydnv, in the mark1/mounts/bicycle folder. Note that it's tailored to a specific bike model; hence, adjustments may be needed for other bikes. Ensure the gear on the rotor cap matches your bicycle's rear wheel gear. You'll require: 1. A rear-wheel-less bike (keep the axle handy); use a sturdier kickstand if necessary. 2. Generator, thing:28762 3. Gasket sealant for rotor cap attachment (takes 2-3 hours to cure) 4. Print one mount, mount_support\_a, mount_support\_b, rotor\_cap, and three pins 5. Assemble the mount and supports to fit snugly with your bike frame, with the top hole 12cm above the rear axle. 6. With the bike on its side, attach the generator to the mount using pins and reinsert the bicycle axle, securing it with appropriate nuts/bolts.
