Sometimes you'll find yourself glancing back at your cassette to check which gear you're in, but it's not always necessary. This is for those situations when you need a better way to keep track. The window and slot on this device are designed specifically to accommodate the 11 speed shifter on most bikes, making it easy to use with a variety of models. A small dot of glue will secure the shift cable in place once installed, thanks to the slightly oversized hole in the marker. To ensure versatility, I've avoided adding index marks to the body of the indicator, making it suitable for any 11 speed or lower gear system, regardless of the shifter brand or type used. In use, simply install the device and run through your gears one by one, marking each stop with paint, a Sharpie, or another marker of your choice.
