Bicycle Cantilever Brake Spring Washer
thingiverse
This is a precise replica of the plastic spring washer nestled under the arm of the cantilever brake system on my 1995 Giant Acapulco mountain bike parked on the porch. Apparently, these parts have become extinct and may hold crucial importance to the bike's braking mechanism. I'm not entirely sure; I'm just starting to explore the world of biking. However, my spring washers are cracked and disintegrating. Since this is a relatively small plastic component, why not attempt to create a digital model and get someone to 3D print it for me? I've never ventured into 3D printing territory, not even with this exact model. I merely created an account on this platform to share this object. Feel free to do as you see fit with it. If you decide to remix or improve the design, that's fantastic news. Hopefully, it will prevent someone from having to replace their bike's braking system unnecessarily due to a lack of available parts.
