With the ferrule now free from its moorings, gently slide it off the end of the housing barrel. Now that the ferrule is out of the way, align the barb fitting with the hose, ensuring a snug fit. Securely fasten the ferrule back onto the barb adapter using your Allen wrench to tighten the nut firmly in place.
