Bicycle Brake Hose Clamping Block
thingiverse
When installing a barb fitting on a bicycle hydraulic brake hose, but lacking the small yellow spacers provided by Shimano at no cost with a brand-new set of brakes, take note of these essential steps. Firstly, locate the housing barrel and the ferrule that needs to be removed from the barb adapter. Next, take your Allen wrench and loosen the nut holding the ferrule in place. With the ferrule now free from its moorings, gently slide it off the end of the housing barrel. Now that the ferrule is out of the way, align the barb fitting with the hose, ensuring a snug fit. Securely fasten the ferrule back onto the barb adapter using your Allen wrench to tighten the nut firmly in place. Ensure the nut is tightened sufficiently to prevent any leaks from occurring during use.
