If you're fed up with the hassle of using your filament switches because the filament keeps slipping off, this solution is exactly what you need. To install it, simply use a 14mm wrench to unscrew the guide tube fittings and then remove the plastic clamp around the wire harness, as it's no longer required with this part. This clever design squeezes the wire harness just enough to keep everything in place without needing that annoying plastic clamp. Once you've slid the new part into position, carefully screw your guide tube fittings back in using your 14mm wrench and tighten them securely. If you use a flat wrench, there will be just enough of the fitting sticking up above the part to allow for sufficient tightening, which is perfect for preventing overtightening since the metal it screws into is extremely brittle. This design also makes the part incredibly strong by making it slightly thicker on top. I've successfully printed this part using both ABS and PLA materials, but I found that the PLA version was significantly easier to work with as the ABS version tended to warp easily. Despite using 75% infill, which might be a bit excessive, the PLA print still turned out strong enough thanks to its optimal orientation. A layer height of 0.1 mm was used, and you can choose to print it with or without supports on the fitting holes – I opted for supports since perfectly round holes are essential to the part's functionality and they're easily removable. This solution has been a game-changer for me as well, and I hope it will solve one of the major frustrations you've faced with this printer. If you're new to using this printer, don't forget that if you're only using one extruder, be sure to stick a piece of scrap filament in the unused side so the switch isn't tripped and stops the printer from printing.
