BIBO Touch Extruder Top Plate
thingiverse
Replacement extruder top plate for BIBO Touch 3D printer designed to eliminate fan noise and potential failure by removing two bolts/nuts that press against front extruder fans. A support is added between long bolts, enabling secure tightening. Top plate now presses against two extruder motors and new support instead of front fans, reducing vibrations and stress on components. I created this design because loose filament guide fittings kept falling out of top plate holes, causing inconsistent prints and maintenance headaches. To address this issue, I made the change to add a support that allows removal of the front fan portion, resulting in a more reliable printing experience. A second version (v5) is also included, specifically designed for new extruders with threaded feed holes, integrating the filament guide fitting into the extruder body for a sleeker and more efficient design. EDIT: I added a 2-piece version of the top plate, allowing it to be printed in a laying-down position. This reduces layer lines and minimizes the risk of breakage. Additionally, one long bolt hole was removed since only one bolt is needed for secure tightening.
