Bibo motherboard fan bracket
thingiverse
Purchased a 40x20mm Noctura fan to replace the noisy motherboard/stepper driver fan on my Bibo 2 Touch, and broke the extremely fragile existing fan mount (see the white bracket in the attached photos). Redesigned it in Fusion 360 to have a little more material outside of the screw holes, which is where the original bracket failed. Didn't bother with filleting the base since there's very little stress there. Printed in PETG just in case, since there can be some heat down there. Had to source longer fan mounting screws since this fan is 20mm deep vs the stock 10mm. In retrospect, I should've used the Noctura rubber mounts to reduce the noise even more (the bracket acts as an amplifier for these frequencies...) but still, I can barely hear the fan when I turn the unit on. Fusion 360 file included in case you want to modify. Edit: Although this took me only a few minutes to design, I'm an idiot for not doing a search first to see if anyone had done this already. It turns out bradenking (I assume this is Braden from Bibo...) has provided the design for the original part. Or at least it looks like my original part, which broke easily, so there's that. Either way, now you have two to choose from... https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3350183
