BIBO 2 Magnetic + Snap hinges ("Pimp My Print" series)

I'm fed up with the door constantly slamming shut while I'm working on things. My initial idea was to find a way to keep the door open and give myself the option to completely remove it for easier operation. Inspiration ======== I discovered some intriguing designs on Thingiverse, but none of them met all my requirements. Macbolan75's snap mechanism inspired me, as did memmop's use of magnets. Design ==== I started from scratch with a brand new design: - I wanted a robust design, so I used a 5 mm metal rod as the axle. This required me to redesign the entire snap part to fit the new axis size. - I wanted the magnets to be hidden, so I placed them as far off-axis as possible to provide more "holding torque". BOM === - 8 round Neodymium magnets (10 mm diameter, 2 mm thick, grade N42) (10€ for 50 pieces on Amazon): The force required on the handle to close the door is +/- 150g. You can opt for N49 or N52 grade magnets, but they are much more brittle. - 5 mm rod, 2 x 30 mm long (aluminium, brass, copper, steel - choose your material) - reuse the stock hinge screws
