This was designed to help make continuous bias binding tape. The tool is made with a customiser using OpenSCAD. So you can download the .scad file and run it in OpenSCAD - where you can set the values you need for your specific bias binding needs. There are three pdf files included. They show how to measure, cut, and sew a long length of bias binding using an exact amount of square fabric. There are tables included for inches and mm dimensions. The method means you make a tube and make one continuous cut - so its very simple and quick to make lots of tape. Works from 20mm up to 170mm (initial tape width) There is a forming section and a stabilising section. The stablising section is straight and allows the tape to settle. The length of the forming section is how easy it is to feed and bend the tape. A number of premade tool sizes have been supplied. The format is: bias_width x tape thickness x forming length + stablising length. E.g. The file bias_tool_50x1.0x50+30.stl uses 50mm cloth to make a 25mm folded result the slot is 1mm thick and the whole tool is 80mm long.
