You can find the official BI V2.5 Belt Conversion Kit here. My kit was created to be used with Boots Industries before they decided to offer a belt upgrade for their model. This is a conversion from string (fishline) to belt for the BI V2.5 3D printer from Boots Industries. Instructions are available on YouTube in two parts, first one is located at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FteUXxGRRuA and second part at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjtJLVtaFhU. Instructions ------------- Bill of Materials (BOM) for One Tower: 1 x 16 Teeth GT2 Pulley 2 x M3 4mm Grub Screws 1 x 212cm GT2 Belt 4 x F605ZZ bearings 2 x M5 25mm Bolts 2 x M5 Nyloc Nuts (or Self Locking) 5 x M3 10mm Bolts Printing Information: All parts were printed in ABS, 0.2mm layer height, and three perimeters with a hundred percent infill (except the carriage addon which I had printed at twenty percent for faster print time). This conversion kit was designed using a 0.35mm nozzle. Note that you should be extremely careful while printing the belt tensioner due to the extremely small ratchet teeth and the delicate nature of this part, it would require some caution as this put my little Prusa i3 to its limit when I printed this for myself. Top Pulley Idler: Originally I was using a red spacer, but I later replaced them with my own bearing spacers since they made it hard for me to spin the bearings. The top pulley has been press-fit installed. Please be sure that you do not obstruct any part of the cable for your endstop before putting on top pulley assembly so it does not get into moving parts and interfere. This might take a bit longer depending upon what type you have but trust me this will give you perfect output and good print quality. Bottom Pulley: To make installation smooth, I recommend you first to unmount the motor in order to add flanged bearings holder which are required. Remove original pulleys and place your own using screws and nyloc nuts provided. Simply align both 16 Teeth GT2 Pulley with your new bearing assembly then attach securely to their mounting bracket by using four of those M3 ten mm bolts you just purchased at any hardware store nearby today - nothing fancy! Carriage Addon: Removing original flag before moving onto other parts requires careful attention as these parts will interfere with one another unless removed properly - in this case however there are some areas which need thorough cleaning before they start interacting badly with each other due their small size differences between those tiny components themselves.
