Every component of the cylinder can be 3D printed, necessitating an electric motor and power regulator accompanied by a rechargeable backup battery. The piston, valve ball, and gasket are fashioned from rubber, while the rest could be crafted from acrylic or PVC. A brass bolt extends from the bottom plate to the cylinder head cover, serving as the anchor that holds all parts together. Motor speed can be fine-tuned through an additional controller to achieve a specific breathing rate. Oxygen, humidification valves, and masks are required to deliver standard air to the patient, while negative suction can be utilized with rebreathing chambers if desired.
