Bezier curves and knots script for Blender

thingiverse

This Python script, "blender bezier rev1.py," generates 3D geometry using Bezier curves in Blender for creating attractive Celtic knots and braids. A customizable picture frame was tested as a project to showcase the script's capabilities; an example being the Celtic Picture Frame. The script is currently usable, but further enhancements are planned. To use, open the file in Blender and press "Run Script" to generate bezier curve objects and meshes. Modify the script or adjust results using Blender object modifiers. Edit controlPoints, taperControl, and BezierCircle lists to shape curves. Hidden source objects create meshes based on them, exportable as STL files. After editing curve nodes in Blender, use ReadCurveControls function for control values update. Bug fixes and enhancements are welcomed.
