If you have a Quadra 8XX or Powermac 8XXX/95XX, one or more of the drive bay bezels are probably broken off the front of your computer. Finding replacements these days is extremely difficult and expensive, so I measured one of my few remaining good parts and created some replacements on my own. There are two bezels here; the blank/empty bay bezel (815-1189) and the tray loading CD-Rom bezel (815-1690, bezel itself, and 815-1690_eject, the ejection button). Please note that if you have an older caddy style cd rom, this tray loading bezel might not fit correctly. I don't have a tray loading bezel to measure from (and don't have a working caddy drive to test with) so I didn't design one. If anyone out there needs one, let me know and I might be able to design one from guesswork/pictures (or if someone can send me a bezel to measure from, that would be ideal.) Because these parts have complex overhangs and lots of curves, I found that printing them upside down required the least amount of support material. The empty bay bezel only really needs supports for the snap-in flanges on the sides, but the cd-rom one has tons of overhang from the opening, so there is going to be a lot of support material keeping things aloft. Additionally, the finish on the lower (most visible) lip wasn't very nice due to it resting on the supports. I ended up printing the cd rom bezel right side up, using a little more material than otherwise, but I found it came out nicer. The cdrom eject button is pretty simple, and I found that printing it up on end gave the best results and used the least amount of support material The button should attach to the bezel on two pegs with friction alone, but depending on your print tolerances it may need adjustment and/or some adhesive.
