Beyerdynamic DT 1770/1990 Pro headband cover slider

I have owned my DT 1770 Pro for around 2 years now and the original OEM covers for the headband ends cracked on the wire side splitting right where the wire protrudes from the band. With the price of these headphones I delt with it until I obtained a 3d printer and comfort with fusion to create the attached model. I have added a file that contains both or just the left or right if you only require one.

For printing I printed with the outside larger shell face down (orientation of file already in place) and supports on build plate. I personally used a .4 nozzle with default print settings on my Mini + for PLA Prusament and a .20 layer height set to quality. I adjusted only the support material settings for “Top contact Z distance” to .25 and “XY separation between an object and its support” to 75%. To remove the slug of support from the screw holes I pushed my T2 screw bit through the hole from the back side.

You will require a T2 screw bit to remove the original cover. Do not over tighten when replacing, the screw goes into the same soft plastic that the inside cover is made with.
