Beyblade Arena (4x)
thingiverse
This larger Beyblade arena is constructed by printing four quadrants and then assembling them together using glue. If you're fortunate enough to have a 3D printer with a size of at least 400mm, you can print the entire thing as one piece. # Notes on Sanding After printing each quadrant, I used 120-grit sandpaper to remove some of the "stepping" that occurred due to the precision printing. Use a light, swirling pattern when sanding. Don't sand against or with the grain. Once it starts feeling smooth, switch to using 300+ grit sandpaper for an even smoother finish. Be sure to thoroughly clean off all the plastic dust that results. # Notes on Attaching the Pieces Use a flat surface like a good workbench or table and clamp a metal straight edge down on one end. This will allow you to push two quadrants against the straight edge, keeping them perfectly aligned while the glue dries. Glue two quadrants together, then the other two quadrants together, before finally gluing both sets of quadrants together for the final product. When holding the pieces together and waiting for the glue to dry, focus on making sure the bowl surface is gap-less, smooth, and consistent across where the pieces merge. Having a smooth surface for the Beyblades to glide over is more important than having the bottoms of the pieces perfectly aligned. Use Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel for the best hold. I achieved very satisfying results with PLA pieces using this method. However, if you're already skilled in other forms of adhesion, feel free to do it your way.
