This is an approximate 1:2 scale model of the actual infamous "Demon Core" setup specifically operated by a Manhattan Project physicist, Louis Slotin. The backstory is one of an unfortunate one during the waning years of WW2; in which a plutonium core had a supercriticality event on accident that exposed the scientists around it to lethal and moderate doses of neutron radiation. It was considered a preventable accident due to the improper testing methods that Louis Slotin employed (The only thing between him and lethal doses of radiation was the edge of a screwdriver). Now you have the chance to create this...except without the worries of neutron radiation! Yay!
