Beverage Coaster Set

To satisfy my desire for unique coasters, I created my own design, utilizing the new translucent PLA colors from Makerbot. By making them as thin as possible, the vibrant hues are showcased effectively. The ribbed structure not only offers rigidity at minimal weight but also reduces contact area with beverage containers and prevents slippage in circular ones. The total weight of 10 coasters and their holder is a mere 102 grams. For optimal printing, refer to the instructions tab providing details on MakerWare's "low" settings or .3mm layer height for walls of .6mm thickness and base layers of two layers. Printing these models in translucent filament not only looks cool but also saves plastic. The weights obtained from printing on "low" setting are: one coaster at 9.2 grams, all ten at 92 grams, and the base at 10 grams. A Customizer version could be created, but customization options are uncertain.
