Say hello to Betyár, the second Hungaryball in my countryball series. Betyárs, notorious outlaws and highwaymen of 18th and 19th century Hungary, were incredibly skilled horsemen who have captured the hearts of Hungarians. Many of these fearless robbers are now legendary figures celebrated for their fight against social injustice. Their iconic mustache and traditional hat continue to be a symbol of Hungarian folklore that evokes a sense of rugged freedom and rebellion.
