Better washer for Printrbot Alu Extruder v1
thingiverse
I identified a problem with the black plastic component (nylon?) that passes through the aluminum extruder, preventing the washer from fitting flush against the extruder. This issue caused some wobble in the spring arm. To fix this, I used folded paper temporarily, but a better solution is this printed piece. The top section of my stepper motor threads was damaged, so I replaced it with a longer M3 screw, measuring 35mm. A 25mm screw should work as well, using a shorter nut if necessary. Insert the printed piece between the metal washer and black plastic component for effective use. The picture shows the printed piece in clear PLA material. This remedy may be helpful for users with an aluminum extruder version two; someone please test it and share your results via comment below.
