Better Idler 2040
thingiverse
This uses http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:651469, or another 20mm round spinning thing with a 5mm bore. This design was specifically created for my Tevo Tarantula but can likely be used on most any 2040 extrusion as an idler. The maker requires a m5 nut, 25mm m5, 2 m4x10 and t nuts. For the printed pulley you'll need two 626 bearings and 2 1mm spacers. I managed to assemble everything together without too much trouble despite tight tolerances. If needed, set the m5 with the 25mm. Please post pictures of your creations or the rig in use if you decide to try it out. Thank you! Print Settings: Printer: Tevo Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: .25 Infill: 100 Notes: Use support on the nut hole, belt passage, and larger side of the spacer. The belt passage might be printed without support, but I recommend using it for accuracy's sake, especially when printing the nut hole and spacer.
