Update 7/9/19 I upgraded the clip design by lengthening it and simplifying the unlocking mechanism for easier access. To secure the filament within the clip, I incorporated tiny projections that grasp it firmly. I was unimpressed with previous clips used in various projects, so I decided to create my own custom solution. This innovative design features a central tab that needs removal before the hinge can close. Refer to one of the accompanying images for step-by-step instructions. Simply use a small hammer to tap the internal support loose and then employ a flathead screwdriver to break the hinge free. This versatile clip accommodates both 1.75mm and 3mm filament types, allowing for greater flexibility in printing projects. I printed this model at a precise .2mm resolution.
