Betrayal Legacy 3d Tiles (magnetic) - Part 1

Contents ======== This set contains 26 three-dimensional tiles for the Betrayal at House on the Hill Legacy board game. It is not a replacement for the physical game, only a decorative set of 3D tiles designed to make the game more immersive and enjoyable. The rooms in this set were created with a slightly different scale than hearthspark's, with heights reduced by 25% for easier handling during gameplay. Functionality ------------ These tiles can almost fully replace cardboard tiles from the original game. Keep the deck of random rooms for drawing purposes, but once you've drawn a room, you don't need the cardboard tile anymore. Each room has enough space for at least one character to stand fully on the floor; additional characters may require some creative placement. Glueing Stickers ---------------- The stickers included in this set are the ghosts. They will rarely appear in the first few games, so I've released them separately from other sticker types. Future releases will include 3D models for all tokens, but that's a project for later. What is Included ----------------- The files contain both full tile models and alternate versions (named "Alt" within the model). These alternate versions are cut into several pieces to reduce support needs during printing, resulting in higher-quality prints. The download size is larger due to this, but ease of print is crucial for such a large project. Aside from rooms, you'll find icons and ghosts – labels that can be printed and glued to the tiles to make the game fully playable without referencing the original tiles. These include room names, symbols, special rules for each tile, and a place to glue ghost tokens. The ICONS and GHOSTS files contain just enough tokens for their designated plank (set of rooms) as unlocked in the Board Game. Additional Tokens ----------------- The Ghost Tokens are used as stickers; print a few beforehand and glue them to their corresponding place when needed. The Small and Large Obstacles can be printed and used as substitutes for cardboard tokens. One Small Obstacle should be glued permanently to the Cramped Passageway tile to represent its permanent obstacle. Both tokens and icons are optional, but personally, I prefer using this set with them. Assembly --------- To assemble individual rooms from their alternate versions, refer to the original file for guidance. Creating a magnetized base involves printing the Base file, inserting four 3x6mm magnets (ensuring they're in the correct orientation), and then gluing the room to the base. Icons can be glued anywhere on the tile; you can refer to the pictures on this page for inspiration. Painting -------- I highly recommend painting these tiles – it's what makes them truly stand out. I put extra effort into the set shown in the pictures, but they'll look great even with a quick paint job. For the hay, use some bristles cut from an old brush. For the outside region, use static grass and dried birch seeds for an Autumn-style effect; glue them to the tiles with PVA glue. The desert texture paint looks great on the paths in that region – it captures the Autumn style present in the original tiles. Credits -------- This project was made entirely by me, ramzes222, using a few assets created by other people. Every single asset not made by me used in this project is included in either the credits of this project or the project it's a remix of. This project was inspired and is a remix of the Betrayal at House on the Hill Tiles (magnetic) project by hearthspark, which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4193252 I had to admit that this was my first experience with 3D modeling – that's why I used quite a few existing assets, especially in my first tiles. As I gained more experience, I gradually stopped doing that and plan not to use outside assets at all in future parts.
