Bestway skimmer tube cap

I had to dive headfirst into the motor of my above-ground pool's filtration pump, which meant placing a cap on the two holes connecting the tubes to the pump. The water outlet was within easy reach at the top, so I could close it without any issues, but the water inlet was situated near the ground and required me to venture inside the pool to insert the stopper. Just imagine having to navigate murky water on a chilly day to perform this task - not exactly my idea of fun! Fortunately, I have a trusty skimmer that's connected to the bottom water inlet via a tube. By placing a cap on top of this tube, I've created a DIY solution that's been born out of necessity. To use it, simply remove the skimmer from the tube and insert the cap into its place; it might not be completely watertight, but it'll suffice for working on the pump. I've also designed an additional cap with a threaded design for the water outlet, which I plan to upload soon. Incidentally, the tube in question is called "38" (mm) despite having an inner diameter of 41mm - go figure!
