I've created a compact version that doesn't require printing of the gear: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4553365/files. I upload three different ring sizes, and I personally use the medium-sized one. I don't suggest using acrylic paint or similar materials for this project. Instead, I used a bronze Uni Posca marker to achieve the desired look. To complete your setup, you'll need some additional items: -A toothpick serves as the shaft. -A flexible hose is required to hold SpongeBob and Patrick in place. -A needle comes in handy for joining the base and lid together. -The gear from a small DC motor (I used a 3-6V yellow motor) fits into the toothpick, underneath the 3D printed gear.
