Best & Easiest to print Ball Bearing
thingiverse
I was fed up with all the ball bearings I'd downloaded and printed, so I decided to tackle the issues I'd been dealing with and create one that actually works well and can be easily printed on even the most basic of printers. The design inspiration came from Gear_Down_For_What's ingenious gearboxes, which made assembly a breeze. I adopted this approach by incorporating a small gap in the outer race, allowing for effortless separation and addition of 11 .177 Cal. (4.5mm) BBs. This makes it simple to slide on the "closure," resulting in a well-functioning bearing. You can find Gear_Down_For_What's work here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2277105 This is currently the longest spinning bearing I've printed, and I'm eager to hear about any issues you encounter printing it on other machines, as my goal is for this design to be accessible to anyone. I've added an optional body to create a fidget spinner if that's something you're interested in.
