AIM To create a 3D concept that lets people grasp the possibilities of 3D printing in intricate and compact designs. This empowers them to explore streamlined designs compared to standard industrial patterns and forms. DESIGN DETAIL A tailored concept made to hold a 100-gram soap bar inside a minimalist yet practical container. Designed with two iterations of design characteristic and culture, these offer a range for users to download based on personal style and need. Crafted with consideration of material waste and 3D print time, the designs were 3D modeled using the least amount of material necessary within reason. DESIGN MODEL INFORMATION Concept 1 - BOX A two-part design that incorporates a water spillage storage unit and an easy-to-access build for cleaning and 3D print purposes. Made to be used for educational and experimental purposes, users can place wet soap bars in the container without mess around it. Concept 2 - GRID A custom design created to showcase the streamlined design movement within a concept, using long cuts and curved features that represent this. With a design feature allowing excess water to pass through gaps, this reduces water dampness and soap mess.
