Beskar Ingot with Damascus Pattern
thingiverse
I used a free program called MeshMixer to convert an OBJ into an STL file. To get it accepted on Thingiverse, I had to significantly reduce the quality and number of vertices. The resulting STL files are enormous in size. My original 96mb OBJ file with 1.9 million vertices ballooned up to over 1GB when converted to STL. I've included another design both in STL and OBJ formats. The OBJ version has a higher triangle count, producing a smoother model. This is a Beskar Ingot from The Mandalorian. After printing it, I applied some finishing touches including sanding and applying Rub-n-Buff Silver for a metallic finish. For added weight, print it hollow and fill it with glue along with some ball bearings. Here's a video of my project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJS-MpYMORE You can find the Rub-n-Buff I used on Amazon at this link: https://www.amazon.com/Rub-Buff-Metallic-Silver-Leaf/dp/B013PYR4WO
