Berserk is a manga created by Kentaro Miura and later adapted into anime, with an epic fantasy and dark fantasy style. Miura published a prototype of Berserk in 1988. The manga began to be published the following year in the defunct monthly magazine Animal House, until it was replaced in 1992 by the biweekly magazine Young Animal, where it was published irregularly until 2021 after the death of its author.
