Berry Tripper
thingiverse
This heavily modified airtripper extruder is inspired by various components from different sources, including 39:11 herringbone gears for Wade's extruder and the airtripper itself. The design allows it to replace the original airtripper as long as there's enough room for the motor to be offset. The user has experienced great performance with this extruder, making filament changes easy without removing any parts except the hot-end hose. Since its initial use, the extruder has continued working flawlessly. Assembling and printing the design is straightforward, but getting one of the nuts for the pinch wheel in place can be challenging. Improvements to this aspect are planned, along with other design modifications. The key component is a 5mm allen bolt that replaces the stepper shaft, which was sourced from a local hardware store. The large gear has been modified to accept a proper nut, and two nuts have been used to lock it in place without any slippage. Manual feeding is convenient due to the exposed large gear. The specific details of other Vitamins are available upon request. The shaft collar on the bowden clamp was replaced with a nut under the knurled piece, providing easy removal and secure holding. Overall, the performance has been quite satisfactory, with E steps set at 708. Photos have been added for reference, showcasing the M5x55 allen head shaft, M6x50 extension bolts, modified small gear for a standard nut, and adjustable gear mesh on the stepper motor. To install the extruder, ensure the pinch wheel bolts and nuts are in place before mounting it. Feeding filament from the bottom is easy by rotating the large gear while inserting the filament through the top hole. A washer is placed between the small bearing on the back side and the large gear for proper alignment. Any additional information or assistance needed can be provided upon request.
