3ds Max 2010, V-Ray 2.40.03 in action: FBX file exports without fur details. Designed with Bernice Wood's Entryway Bench. Measures: 106cm x 45cm x height of 50cm. In 3ds Max, fur texture is created using geometric shapes. An alternative is to delete the geometry and add a modifier for fur effect. To start rendering, go to Rendering - Effects panel, click on Hair and Fur, then choose Mr Prim mode at the bottom. Set System units to mm. If rendering with geometry, first convert model into a proxy object beforehand. Results from Effects render are more realistic than geometry-based render.
