Berner flashlight new plastic case
thingiverse
Hi, I have a brand new design to share with you. This innovative box is specifically tailored for the Berner Pocket Flooder 10W flashlight (art no. 341709). My friend, an experienced automechanic, approached me recently and informed me that he had stumbled upon this flashlight on the road, but unfortunately, it was not functioning properly. So, he asked if I could repair it for him. After carefully disassembling the device, I discovered that while all its internal components were in excellent condition, the cables were torn and the plastic case was severely damaged from being run over by cars multiple times. Consequently, I decided to create a new flashlight casing using the existing electronic parts. This project took me approximately two weeks to complete, as I meticulously measured, modeled, and printed an entirely new case for it. To ensure proper functionality, the rear holes used for checking battery charge levels need to be filled with silicon or a similar material. The printing process for the bottom part of the new casing took almost 12 hours, while the optic part required roughly eight hours to complete. Additionally, four small components needed to secure the magnetic handle printed in just 31 minutes. After printing the larger parts, you will need to carefully measure and drill holes where you wish to attach the handle - a 2mm hole is utilized throughout this design. Ideally, the best spot for securing the handle is located adjacent to the battery pack, specifically on those two squares. I hope this new model will be helpful in repairing someone's flashlight, as it can be quite expensive, and I'm confident that my design will save money for those who need it.
