This reproduction of a historic Bermuda home was constructed adjacent to The Carter House Museum between 2012 and 2013 by Director Rick Spurling and Head Carpenter Larry Mills. It was built under the guidance of Jamestown Settlement joiners and historical architects, who aimed to replicate the building techniques used during the 1610s. I am utilizing this reproduction as part of my Virtual Bermuda 1663 project, which digitally reconstructs the entire island in that year based on historical maps and property records, at the John Carter Brown Library and the University of Rochester's Digital Scholarship Lab.
