Assembled in 2009 as part of The Wall Project, this public art initiative commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Berlin Wall's fall. Artists Kent Twitchell and Farrah Karapetian from L.A., along with Marie Astrid Gonzalez, collaborated on the project with French-born Thierry Noir, a Berlin-based muralist who painted the wall in 1984. The last four sections feature original graffiti from Cold War-era Berlin, including Bimer's iconic green bear image. The Wall Along Wilshire is now part of The Wende Museum's permanent collection.
