Human-designed tool for lubricating cast bullets takes cues from Wax Meister and Things in my life's bob's bullet lube kit. Parts and tolerances are tailored to work with a DLP resin printer, but quality FDM printing is also possible with some post-processing like sanding to ensure proper fit. My 10-inch orange DLP resin printer allows me to print all necessary pieces on the tiny build plate in under five hours using .05mm layer heights. Since critical surfaces are vertical, using .1mm layers to reduce print time might be beneficial without compromising performance. Assembly involves gluing the body and cap together, then feeding the plunger up through the body, which is retained by the plunger cap that's also glued in place. Fitting a spring between the plunger cap and body cap simplifies operation. Given the brittleness of most photocuring resins, this design leans on Saraya Tech Blu's combined strength and toughness. Other resins with "ABS-like" properties or some yield before breaking may work but ultimately leave the part too rigid to use without breaking. All tolerances were designed for .001 inch clearance, so a dry fit before gluing is essential, along with sanding or adjusting any tight parts before applying glue. This design was created in Fusion 360 by me, an inexperienced designer with no prior experience.
