Create an accordion-limbed robot mold using oogoo for casting. Instructables shows how to make your own sugru substitute. The inspiration comes from Jasonwebb's thing on Thingiverse, with a figure that has snake-like arms and legs for bending around objects. The model of the bot is available as a file for printing. Print the mold in ABS, not tested with PLA. Use a 10% infill and finer slices for better results. Acetone wash on the mold cavity ensures a smooth surface. Holes through mold corners are for alignment using a nail or rod. Casting process involves fast casting: mix oogoo and pack the mold halves, place copper wire in limbs, and use beads to center the wire. Align sides with nails and clamp until set. A fine cast option is available using a thin coat of caulking silicone for better surface finish.
