This is a versatile articulated arm for a 40mm fan mount that cools filament from a hot nozzle and can also be adapted for various other uses. Designed specifically for the Velleman K8200 (3Drag) 3D printer, this model comes equipped with a mount that securely fits over an original part, providing extra stability and precision. The articulated arm is designed to move freely in 180 degrees, offering flexible operation while still maintaining its structural integrity thanks to the C Beam design which provides greater sturdiness. The Ball Beam, on the other hand, serves as an extension beam for added versatility. Fixing screws can be easily attached using M3 threaded holes or alternatively held in place with a simple rubber band. Each STL file includes a flat surface for secure positioning on the print bed. The K8200 fan nozzle was sourced directly from the original STL file provided by the manufacturer, while the orange color scheme comes courtesy of my advanced starship replicator technology. For best results when printing parts featuring ball joints, aim for a layer thickness of 0.2mm or less using FreeCAD software and remix the design as needed to ensure precise adhesion to the print bed. Using Cura software, adjust the settings in the advance tab by selecting 'cutoff object bottom' by 0.3mm for improved bonding between prints. In case of printing issues, apply UHU extra power glue sticks for enhanced hold, showcased within our gallery of examples.
