Bendix KAP140 Autopilot Panel for Flight Simulation
thingiverse
Hello Thingiverse Community! I designed an impressive Bendix KAP140 Autopilot panel for a general aviation flight simulator cockpit. As of now, I have only uploaded the .STL file. When it's actually 3D printed, I will post a picture of the actual design. Hopefully, it will be very useful! I strongly recommend printing the actual panel in black and the buttons in white. The strip that circles the font panel on the edge should be painted over white, and the arrows on the buttons should be painted over in black. For dual extrusion printers, you can print them those colors. The large gap in the front is for a 16x2 LCD display. You can get these at a low cost off Amazon. ## Tools to make the Bendix autopilot connect to a flight simulator: - Arduino UNO/MEGA - Model 2120 (From Desktop Aviator) https://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Model_2120/index.htm - Basic Jumper Wires *I will add more instructions once I complete the build.* Hopefully, this will be helpful! Have a fantastic day.
