Benchy Vehicles

A group of classmates and I embarked on a challenging project, where each of us designed a model with specific features in mind. Inspired by the Benchy Boat, we created four models - a plane, train, car, and motorcycle - each pushing our printers to their limits. Plane: The design included high-resolution details, symmetrical components, surface intricacies, cylindrical shapes, overhanging surfaces, and bridging capabilities. Train: Symmetry was a key feature, combined with horizontal faces, surface details, cylindrical shapes, and bridging. Car: Smooth curved surfaces, symmetry, surface details, low-slope surfaces, large horizontal holes, and slanted small holes were all part of the design. Motorcycle: The model showcased symmetry, high-resolution details, surface intricacies, and small horizontal holes. We also developed a base for all four models to snap into, which incorporated low-slope surfaces, first-layer details, and high-resolution printing.
