Benchy USB Flash Drive Housing

Benchy USB Flash Drive Housing

For a long time now, i wanted to make a custom USB flash drive housing. And since I like the 3D Benchy by Creative Tools, I decided to use it. For the thing itself you also need a USB flash drive circut board, which you can either buy from the internet or just take from an old USB stick. The board should be no bigger than 14X35 mm without the plug and not higher than the plug. The print settings depend on your printer, but i recommend no less than 20% infill and outer before inner walls activated, because the hole for the PCB comes pretty close to the walls in some places and that hurts the surface finish. Support should be de-activated, because it is almost impossible to get it out and the bridging turned out to be no problem. Last, but not least you just need to glue the USB flash drive electronics into the hole. I persolally prefer hot glue, which works great, but you can use what ever you want. I recommend visiting http://www.3dbenchy.com for more Infos and the original files by Creative Tools.
