Benchy in a Storm

Benchy in a StormThis is a combined style print, utilising both classic 3D printing and filament painting methods to produce this 2-in-1 'pop-art' effect type of print. This print is essentially a hueforge print, swapping filament colours at specific layers, but with a twist! You will be adding a 'Benchy' (STL attached) to your print, modified and cut in half in your slicer as well. I have provided the STL of the Benchy, but you can download it from the source here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:763622Steps to PrintLoad the 'benchyWave' STL into your slicer. Load the '3DBenchy' STL into your slicer. In your slicer, place the Benchy STL wherever you want on the benchyWave STL. You will want to 'cut' the Benchy in half so that only part of it pops out of the print. But it is up to your imagination how you want to orient and place it! Assemble your print so both the Benchy and the benchyWave STLs are merged together. Set your filament swaps for the benchyWave STL according to the instructions below. If your slicer allows, you can change the infill % for JUST the Benchy model to 5%.Filament Swap InstructionsPrint at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mmFilaments Used:PLA+ Overture Dark Blue Transmission Distance: 1.8PLA META Sunlu Teal Transmission Distance: 5.4PLA Kingroon White Transmission Distance: 8PLA META Sunlu Red Transmission Distance: 4 (This is the colour of your Benchy!)Swap Instructions:Start with Dark BlueAt layer #9 (0.8mm) swap to TealAt layer #12 (1.04mm) swap to WhiteAt layer #18 (1.52mm) swap to Red (this is your Benchy!) for the rest.Hope that makes sense!
