Benchmade 51 Scales & Extenders

Made a 3D model of these scales & handles that fit Benchmade model 51 balisongs so people who enjoy the hobby of balisong flipping have customization options available to them without having to pay for overpriced printing services - if you have a printer you can print it up yourself! These were inspired by the Space Invaders produced by Jimmy Designs which can be found at https://tinguchi.squarespace.com/shop/p/space-invader-mod-for-the-benchmade-51 or https://www.instagram.com/jimpy.designs/ Printing: Depending on your printer you will need to rotate the model to either print better or fit on your print bed. Full print with 100% infill came to about 10g in weight which should come out to about 25 cents.If you print with less than 100% the spacers will do this popcorn thing that I can't explain but I imagine its from how thing the channel portion is. You will also need to add supports if printed vertically due to the hardware holes - print with supports on anything above 45 degrees. Speaking of that channel portion - you will also need to sand off a very tiny amount material where the channel comes into contact with the zen pin. The spacers are meant and were designed to fit the original hardware VERY tightly so there will need to be post processing work. I could have designed the hardware holes slightly larger but I felt that this made the scales and extenders fit too poorly and loose. These will need minor sanding & filing but should push fit into the space tightly and not need anything else to secure it. This was made in the spirit of helping people who can't afford CNC'd options and giving them the ability to customize their knives with what they do have.
