Bench Vice Jaws
thingiverse
I'm a passionate woodworker. This often necessitates using a bench vice to securely hold pieces in place while I work on them effectively. However, when applying intense pressure that a bench vice provides, the rugged metal jaws tend to scratch up the surface of the piece I'm working on (far from ideal). Consequently, I came up with these plastic jaws that simply slide over the existing metal ones, attached by 12mm neodymium magnets. They hold in place very securely, are extremely strong, are easy to detach, and best of all - they don't scratch up the surface of the wood! Although these are highly specific to my vice, they should be quite simple to modify for your own! I've included the .stl file, my slicer settings in Prusa Slic3r, and the .gcode in case you have the same printer as me! (I used the Original Prusa i3 Mk3s) Thanks for checking out my first Thingiverse post!
