I purchased an affordable 3" bench vice at Lowes featuring smooth, flat, and iron jaws. Since no matching components were available, I utilized Sketchup to design custom parts. The provided SKP file allows others to adapt the base design for their specific tasks. By employing the basic setup, workpieces can be clamped without surface damage. Modifying the jaw for holding rods, bolts, or other irregular objects is also feasible.
