Bench Power Supply

Bench Power Supply

Here is my bench power supply crafted from spare components and a custom 3D printed case that provides a reliable regulated DC voltage, adjustable between approximately 1V to 16V DC at 4.5A. The power supply utilizes the XLSEMI XL4016 Step Down Power Module as its foundation. My design seamlessly integrates a 4-digit voltage and current display, ensuring users have precise control over output settings. The output is an adjustable constant voltage and/or constant current supply, catering to diverse experimental needs. Assembly instructions and circuit information are conveniently included in a Word document for easy reference. This comprehensive guide empowers users to assemble the power supply with confidence. Crafted from 3D printed parts, my solution case securely holds all internal components in place. A separate 3D printed front panel features printed text that adds a professional touch to the overall design. The internal power pack is stabilized by a 3D printed clamp for added stability. To achieve a visually appealing finish, I implemented a filament color swap towards the end of the print process. This allowed me to create raised text in contrasting colors, enhancing visibility and readability. Setting up this feature is straightforward in PrusaSlicer or similar software packages. My print utilizes PETG 1.75mm Aurarum silver, 3DFillies white and black filaments, with a 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on my trusty PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. This configuration yields high-quality prints that demonstrate the capabilities of this versatile setup. I hope you find my print design useful and inspiring for your own projects.
